About Attorney Richard Staley
Attorney Richard Staley is a 2015 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School & excited to bring his energy and drive to the role of Project Attorney with Diaz Law Firm. Attorney Staley’s experience demonstrates his desire to help everyone get a fair shake in all areas of the legal system. Attorney Staley represented clients in both Wisconsin and Federal criminal courts as a student attorney in the UW Law School’s Frank J. Remington Center & his work with a local nonprofit law firm earned him membership in the UW Law School’s illustrious Pro Bono Society.
Originally from Grafton, WI, Attorney Staley discovered his loves for music and activism early. Attorney Staley played bass in several local bands, even releasing an album with his band Rainy Day Ollie in 2006. Attorney Staley easily transitioned from the Milwaukee music scene to pursuing dual bachelor’s degrees in the field of government at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, before his JD in 2015. Attorney Staley has taken an active role in governance throughout his tenure in the UW System, serving as student government President in Green Bay and a representative the Student Bar Association council in Madison. Since high school, Attorney Staley has actively campaigned with the human rights organization Amnesty International.
In his free time, Attorney Staley still enjoys playing guitar & discovering new music, as well as cheering on the Badgers, Brewers, & Packers. Attorney Staley’s first year of Presidential eligibility is 2024.
